The Reiter Young Stars on track for the Red Bull Ring!

RYS on track for gt4 race 3 in red bull ring

The “REITER YOUNG STARS” on track for the Red Bull Ring!

At the Austrian circuit in Styria as guests with the GT4 European!

No less than five Austrian drivers on the start!

The “REITER YOUNG STARS” are on the starting grid of Austria’s Red Bull Ring this weekend (June 10-11, 2017) for their second event of the season in what is practically a home race for them. After all, for Hans Reiter and his team from nearby Kirchanschöring (Bavaria), it is considered to be the nearest racing circuit.

As usual, drivers and their support staff from eight prominent European universities make up the eight teams, which are supported by partners like KTM, Holinger Europe, KISKA, WP, Pankl, InterNetX and True Racing this season. They are competing with the KTM X-BOW GT4 in a total of five events in the GT4 European Series “Northern Cup”, and after their races at Misano and the Red Bull Ring, they will also contest races at the Slovakiaring, in Zandvoort, and at the Nürburgring.

It was already clear at the start of the season in Misano that the “REITER YOUNG STARS" have nothing to fear from the intense competition in this international series. That was where the duo Jonathan Cecotto/Lenny Marioneck won the opening race. Then in the second race, the KTM teams were unable to repeat the success due to some careless moves that spoiled their chances. Reiter Engineering’s Owner and “YOUNG STARS” founder Hans Reiter does not want to see this repeated at the Red Bull Ring. “We had a very earnest conversation with our juniors after the second race at Misano. Naturally, they all have a lot to learn. That is what the "REITER YOUNG STARS" is all about, and we're perfectly suited to that. But to give away the victory as we did in Italy no longer comes into question!"

This represents a clear statement directed to Reiter’s own Drivers, but above all, also to their fellow competitors, who will be racing on the undulating Styrian circuit in considerable numbers. No less than 33 teams are nominated for the event, among them, the already mentioned eight “REITER YOUNG STARS” teams. Naturally, there will be a lot of attention this weekend on the five Austrian drivers racing at home on the Red Bull Ring.

On the one hand, there is the "RYS Team KTM“ with youngster Eike Angermayr, who will share the cockpit with the most experienced KTM X-BOW driver, Reinhard Kofler. Misano race winner Lenny Marioneck from “RYS TEAM KISKA” will get his support from another very fast junior from Austria as Gottfried Pilz takes the wheel of the KTM X-BOW GT4 with the starting number 34. The fastest woman in the field also comes from Austria. Laura Kraihamer from Salzburg (“RYS Team True Racing”) has put in a lot of effort to prepare for her home race. And last but not least, there is former national rally champion Achim Mörtl, who is no longer a junior, but who competes for the first time in an international circuit race.

#14 – RYS Team KTM: Eike Angermayr (AUT) / Reinhard Kofler (AUT)

#24 – RYS Team Holinger: Emil Westman (FIN) / Samuel Sladecka (SLO)

#34 – RYS Team Kiska: Gottfried Pilz (AUT) / Lenny Marioneck (GER)

#44 – RYS Team WP: Marylin Niederhauser (SUI) / Naomi Schiff (RSA)
